Salsa Verde

Basically my special green sauce. I've been told by many that my sauce is excellence even compared to other cooks in the family. Yes I'm bragging. Very quick and easy to make all you need is

  1. half a pound of tomatillos (green tomatos)
  2. 2 jalapenos
  3. 1 serrano pepper
  4. chicken bouillion
  5. salt and pepper
  6. cilantro
  7. 1 white onion

Note you do need jalapenos for the flavor but serrano peppers add the spice. You can skip out on using the seranno peppers or completely replace the jalapenos with them but I wouldn't suggest it. Jalapenos are like the heart and the all seranno would be dull and spicy

  1. First get a short wide pot and fill it with water, add the tomatillo, all the peppers and onion. Boil it and when you see it bubbling let it stay that way for 3 more minutes
  2. Pour the water out until you have about the equivalent of 1-2 cups of water left inside. You can let it cool for a bit
  3. Add to the blender and add 1 spoon of chicken bouillion powder and the cilantro (should be like multiple small branches) add a bit of salt and pepper
  4. When its well blended try the sauce and add more chicken powder/salt/pepper to your liking whatever you feel is right. A thing about cooking is that you should always be trying your food especially during seasoning

And there you have it! YAYAY good sauce perfect for chips and enchiladas and tacos and whatever you wanna use it for. If you want to store it in the fridge make sure its completely cooled because hot items will rot in the fridge quicker.
